Lost Completely was the first song we recorded. I recall our first practice as Dan sat on the drum set that I had in my closet, Marshall playing his acoustic and yelling out the lyrics while sitting on my dresser, and I played through my 15-Watt Crate Amp while laying on my bed. Wes wasn't even a part of the band yet. The lead guitar part on the verses used to have a diddley-diddley to it that Wes really liked, but after listening to it played back to Mars, Jared, and I we decided that it was better without it. But Adam Grinsell and Wes still miss it. Marshall used to never sing up the octave going into the last chorus after the bridge, but he did it once in practice and we all made him do it from there on out. He always regretted it, because it hurt his voice. But it sounds so good, and I love the emotion that comes through on that last chorus. This song has some great parts to it (I enjoy the guitar effect on the intro - but I am bias'd), but it'll be best remembered for its bridge. It's an excellent way to end the EP. Set Me Free.
