Narrative is one of our most straight forward songs. To be honest, the solo has way many notes. Just listen to it. That's the anecdote I have for this song. There's tapping, and a lot of just legato runs at the end. Probably the most notes/minute solo I've ever recorded. With that said, I'm pretty happy about it. Marshall used to not do the "oh's" during the solo, but Jared and I convinced him that they're a good idea. Marshall always said that the lead guitar part in the intro was my best guitar line. Fans and band mates agree with him.
