Temper was the first song that Marshal started to rap on. And it was immediately a part of Asunder's sound. The guitar riff during the verses made a couple changes throughout, but we finally stuck with this one that Marshall wrote. I came to Mars with a possible chorus guitar riff, and it stuck. We never realized it, but when we played shows we often slowed down the chorus riff, and then sped back up for the verse. When we recorded the song with Jared we used a metronome and it sounded a lot better. We were pretty happy with the result. Marshall wrote this song about his hitch hiking trip to California. He tells the stories of the people he met, and just his experience about growing up while on that trip where he then spent the summer farming in California. The second vision.
